This Mom Created Stationery That Is Sustainable And Makes A Positive Impact On The Environment

Who doesn't love beautiful stationery? I could look at paper and writing implements for hours without getting bored. In this day and age of mass produced paper and notebooks, Jalebi was indeed a sight for sore eyes.

Jalebi offers high quality, stunning design products, and customised eco friendly stationery. Started by Renuka Shah, a mom and interior designer, looking at beautiful things was second nature to her. Creating and maintaining green spaces in an ever changing urban sprawl was a passion and she wanted to combine her interests to create something that would make a difference.

Products from Jalebi are a treat for those that love their eco friendly stationery. From waterproof notebooks to plantable seed paper notebooks, each one of their products is simply beautiful to look at.

Products from Jalebi

1. Waterproof Notebooks: These multipurpose notebooks have been made from stone paper - or paper made from mining waste and plastic bottles. This makes the paper waterproof, insect proof, and tear resistant.

2. Plantable paper: Made from textile waste, this paper is unique in that it has live seeds embedded in the pulp. Will make for an amazing gift!

4. Wall hooks, shelves, magazine racks: All made of mild steel, an alloy steel and completely eco friendly.

Jalebi now plans to increase the range of eco friendly fabrics it uses to make the products. Their research team is currently looking into milk and soya as base ingredients. They would also like to create added awareness for parents to invest in eco friendly stationery for their children.
